The Ukrainian banking system has undergone unprecedented changes in the last few years: the number of institutions has halved, a challenging reform process has made impressive progress and the clean-up, which included the nationalisation of the country’s largest lender, PrivatBank, has left the state with a major stake in the sector, which it is committed to decreasing through a series of part-privatisations and acquisitions of stakes by international partners.
There was such a lively and productive atmosphere with a diverse group of attendees.
Particular thanks go to:
- The Embassy of Ukraine in the UK and the Independent Association of Banks of Ukraine for their active support of and participation in the Day;
- White & Case for being Sponsors of the Day and for their contribution to its success;
- All speakers for their valuable and insightful contributions;
- All Supporting Associations and Information Partners for their support of the Day;
- All participants for contributing to such a positive and productive event.
The Banking Day has firmly established itself as an annual event and we look forward to growing and expanding it.
